Tuesday, April 13th, 2010 – Health Assessment info

Next Monday, the 19th, we will be doing Time Trials for the second time. If you were here last time you can check the results here. Around the same time we will be doing our first monthly health assessment. This will include the following measurements:

  • Height
  • Weight
  • Circumference measurements – abdomen, hip, arm, waste, thigh, and calf.
  • Blood Pressure
  • Resting Heart Rate
  • Pictures – Optional

The assessment is optional and is to give you markers to better gauge not only your fitness but health. Each assessment will be done in the back room, not on the training floor.

I have not decided on what day and when to do the assessment so please post your preference to the comments if you plan to participate.

I am totally on board; however, I do not wish to know some of the information at this time, I’d like to be in the dark on my progress until the end of the month =)
Maybe to save time you could do a few each day of the week? I would like to do mine Friday morning, you weigh less in the morning don’t you? Heehee

  2. I’m available next week in the morning (after 6am class) or evening (after 6pm).

  3. Hey everyone. I am in a workshop all day and forgot the time sheet at home so i’ll post the times this evening.

Today was a difficult workout. How are you feeling? Sore? if so, where?

Chris, Can I do this workout tomorrow evening when I go to class? I would like to judge my progress from last time too?
If not, when will the next time be?
When is One World gonna get a day care so I can go morning? LOL Just Kidding ;)

      • Yes you can do the work out but I may not be there. I will have instructions for who ever is there if I am not.

You can bring your child in but not on the training floor. There is a back room if you want your baby sitter to be there. There is a couch and children books.

    • Right now my abs and glutes are sore. I’m sure tomorrow I’ll feel it everywhere. =) Thanks again.

So I don’t know where I got a different Warm-Up for the health assessment from but I wrote down & performed: 500m row, 20 box jump, 500m row, V-ups, 500m row, & 20 box jumps.
    With taking a 5-10min break in between my times were: 100 Sit-ups 6:24:04, 100 Pull-ups 6:37:71, 100 squats 3:53:25, & 100 push-ups 5:10:76.
I improved on my Sit-Ups & Squats from last time. I was 1min over on push-ups, I saved those for last this time, not a good move. And I was 9secs over on my Pull-Ups but I also used a taller bar for the last 50 so I was working harder than on the shorter bar. All-in-all I am pretty proud of my progress = )
